- Fire knowledge training and drill activities in Weihai Base Fire Promotion Month
In order to effectively strengthen the construction of the company's fire safety capacity, further improve the fire safety awareness and basic skills of the staff, and popularize fire safety knowledge, Weihai Base carried out a series of fire publicity and on-site inspection activities around the theme of "focusing on fire life first", taking the "119 Fire Publicity Month" as an opportunity. In the afternoon of November 13, the Safety and Environment Office of the Company organized department heads and employees to participate in fire knowledge training and fire drill activities.
The company specially invited Xu Zhimo, staff officer of Weihai Harbor Area Fire Brigade, to conduct fire safety knowledge training and guide fire drill activities. Staff Counsellor Xu, combining his own experience in fire fighting and typical fire cases in the city, made the employees understand the major harmfulness and destructiveness of fire, and fully understand the importance of fire prevention work and fire fighting and self rescue at the initial stage of fire. Staff Counsellor Xu also explained some common fire fighting methods, common sense of fire escape, and the use of fire-fighting equipment.
In order to put the knowledge learned into practice, the company immediately held a fire drill on the open space at the northwest corner of the plant. The employees participating in the drill took turns to operate the fire extinguisher according to the use method and fire fighting steps they just learned. During the drill, everyone was serious and obedient to the command. The atmosphere at the scene was very warm, and the expected effect of the drill was achieved!
"We learned a lot in this training, which not only improved our self-protection ability, but also protected our colleagues and family members at critical moments," said an employee who participated in the on-site training. At the same time, the company will also carry out a variety of fire publicity activities, constantly improve employees' fire safety skills, and build a fire safety "firewall" for the company.
