At 8:05 on November 8, 2019, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sino-Glass (Weihai) functional glass wisdom production base project was held. Comrade Yu Wenjiang, Secretary of Party Working Committee and Director of Management Committee of Lingang District, and more than 40 leaders of District Management Committee attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Mr. Cui Xiangdong, President of China Glass Holdings Limited, Mr. Xu Ning, Vice President, Ms. Liu Qiying, Director of Technology Center, Mr. Ye Zhihui, General Manager of Weihai Sino-Glass Coated Glass Company Limited and more than 60 cadres and workers of Sino-Glass attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Cui Xiangdong, CEO of the company, delivered a speech and said that the company has been rooted in Weihai for more than half a century and has developed from a small glass factory with no reputation to a large online coated glass production base in China, making due contribution to the local economy and social development. Especially in recent years, with the care and support of the party and government leaders in Weihai City and Lingang District, the enterprise's innovative R&D capability, production scale and output efficiency have been greatly improved, and the development prospect is bright! The project covers an area of about 300 mu, and constitutes a "one-two-wing" layout with the current Weihai Zhongguo glass base. The total investment is about 1.2 billion yuan, and the project is planned to be divided into two phases. It is planned to build thin film cell substrate production line, intelligent agricultural greenhouse power generation glass production line, medicinal glass production line, as well as photovoltaic cover glass, photovoltaic glass tile, door and window curtain wall glass, home appliance glass and other intelligent processing production lines. After the completion of the project, the annual sales revenue will be 2.35 billion yuan and the profit and tax will be 370 million yuan.
